Each year, the featured homes on the Armstrong-Bradfield Preschool Association “Homes for the Holidays” home tour offer a first glimpse at beautiful holiday decorations in distinct homes throughout the Park Cities.
This year’s tour – the 15th! – kicks off Friday, Dec. 6.
A new addition to the tour is a small market at the home on 3500 Beverly, which will offer special gift items for sale by local artists and vendors with price points set at $100 or less. A watercolor artist will offer note cards commemorating Highland Park’s 100th year. Each vendor will give a percentage of their sales to the schools.
Tickets to the event, which Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Reality is sponsoring, are on sale for $20 at nearby Tom Thumb stores and through ABPA members. Or attendees can pay $25 on the day of the tour. Ticket holders can enjoy browsing four beautiful homes on the tour from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
About 97 percent of all money raised from the tour go to provide educational support materials, field trips and enrichment programs for the kindergarten and first grade classes at Armstrong and Bradfield elementary schools. The ABPA “Homes for the Holidays” home tour has raised more than $400,000 in the past 14 years.
